P.G.L.T. A Christmas Carol
Charm and Good Cheer

Prince George's Little Theatre (PGLT| makes Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol a musical to the delight of their audience—a full house—for the occasion. It was a night to remember for all PGLT patrons at the Public Playhouse.
The parade of characters in their holiday finery by costumer Jo-Anne Jones sets the tone of shared warmth and cheer for the many families coming to see their children or relatives in the production. Director Gay Hill and Co-director Ed Payne embellish the familiar television version of Ebeneezer Scrooge and Tiny Tim with the gaiety of holiday carols.

John Dow as Ebeneezer Scrooge remains true to the familiar characterization that Charles Dickens gives to Ebeneezer Scrooge. Ghosts of Jacob Marley (Bob Hoffman); Christmas Past (Eugenia Sorgnit); and Christmas Present (Ed Payne) render a presence to give Ebeneezer and anyone else the spirit of giving to others at Christmas.

The sensations still felt from being among PGLT's audience, a full house, make one wish for more. And PGLT has more planned with another production to follow in May and June of '88. Their choice is Fools, a comedy fable by Neil Simon.
